Serenity village meets lively beachside in Cherating, Pahang

Cherating is a popular beach resort area in Pahang. It is located about 30 km north of Kuantan on Peninsular Malaysia’s East Coast.

Cherating village is a typical small lazy East Coast fishing village although backpacker-tourism now is the major income earner here. The village, which is just off the main East Coast trunk road between Kuantan and Kuala Terengganu is dotted with guesthouses and small hotels (called chalets here). Asia’s first Club Med is also located here. The place is extremely laid-back and the beach is nice and wide, although not as beautiful as the beaches on the islands off the East Coast

With its convenient location, the hotel offers easy access to the city’s must-see destinations. Just few years back, Tanjung Inn upped the game and added the glamping tents into the property now guest has the option to be even closer facing directly to the beach front in less than 100m. Glamping tents surrounding a pond with tall Jerangau plant

Built with canvas tarp and bamboo walls and interlocking pavement blocks, campers surely feel like spending the night in the close surrounding of nature but with the comfort of nice shared bathroom, electricity for lights, fan and power points. Inside the tent, large wooden bed is placed in the middle of the huge tent with comfortable double beds or two single beds equipped with mosquito netting. To top the look, a wooden dresser is placed right next to the bed. The bamboo walls allows beautiful ray of light peeking through come sunrise time. Enjoy stargazing at night by the pond or by the beach.

The tent opens to the back door that connects to personal deck right into the pond. There are 10 glamping tents altogether right around the nice little pond. Its mostly kids friendly but dont leave the children unattended. One thoughtful design of the tents when they allow the tent to be securely locked so campers can leave the belongings with a peace of mind while enjoy the beach or explore different parts of Cherating. Truly back to nature with a minimal eco friendly tent but the comfort and luxury of modern needs.
